Whatcom County has produced many high school players that have gone on to play football at the college level over the years, most recently Ferndale's Jake Locker who is now at the University of Washington and Sehome's Steven Ayers, now at Washington State University.

So who are the best college football prospects in the area heading into this season?

Meridian's Andrei Lintz seems to be getting the most attention early on as a tight end/defensive end prospect. Going into the high school season I would have to agree. He has good size and speed, and though he's playing at the small-school level, he's an NCAA Division 1-BCS prospect.
