Meridian school district has been overstaffed for quite some time in an attempt to keep class sizes smaller. The new super is decreasing the K-12 teaching staff by as many as 9 full time positions. This equates to losing two teachers at the high school level. First to go on the list will be teachers in retire/rehire situations according to newly adopted board policy.
