It is pretty sad to open up the Sunday paper and yet again, no stats for the softball girls. As usual, all the coaches have reported on the boys baseball stats. Track and soccer coaches have also reported. Tennis and golf....all there. How come the athletic directors of the schools in the county allow this? There have been no stats at all for three weeks. And, in the weeks before that, only a few coaches reported. I know of some ill grandparents of some of these players whose only happiness is following their grandchildren's progress in the paper because they are too ill to get to the games. I'm sure these coaches would have been upset when they were younger if their own stats were not reported. I am so tired of young hard working girls always getting the shaft.
